Diagnostic Reader
-
So basically I've been looking into diagnostic code readers and believe MX-3's are fitted with a MECS-II system.
Does anyone know of a cheap code reader? I know there is a way with an LED to read the codes…

On my other mazda (on stock ecu) you can bridge two of the terminals in the diagonostic port to flash up the error codes on the dash. So assuming the MX-3 is the same then all you would need is a list of the error codes and a paperclip (maybe a mate too as thats always handy! )
As I have never done it with an mx-3 I dont know which terminals to bridge (It may even be the same but I have not even looked at the mx-3 ones) So wait better wait for someone to confirm if this is the case :)
