@98f81f4b9b=mx3gulf:
Would be bloody quick I reckon! Would love an LSD for my car, but can't warrant spending alot of money on one
out of intrest how much are the LSD's go for and the benefit of having one
thanks
-
A good one? I'm sure its about £1500, benefits? You can go round corners faster!! Both drive wheels turn at the same speed
-
Quaffe - 1200 + delivery
phantom grip - 400 ish + postage
Although phantom is not a true LSD.

:PMFactory! Helical ATB LSD £419.30, Power Rating: ~1000whp
I got mine for $650 dollars delivered including bearings and bolts when the dollar was weak… so less than £400 probably.

thanks fellas as i wont be going round corners fast with the drag car dont think i need one.
sorry for going off topic marco
-
What an amazing build. You bringing it to any shows/meets over the summer? I'd love to see it in the metal.
-
lol just missed it at japfest
-
Sorry, meant to say in Ireland :)
-
lol it is a great car and truly a beast
-
Thanks Jay
jayom - I take it some up in antrim, like japfest take 2 in august and the reallymeansounds birthday meet. Will hopefully go to straightliners in enniskillen too if not bishopscourt for some drag racing. If you're ever up here give me a shout!
XYZ coilovers now fitted, very impressed so far. Ride quality is really quite tame/comfortable on soft. Need to get them setup decently, but it will have to wait for now as I'm changing to 16" rims soon. Could go lower but fat tyre/alloy/ offset combo puts things a bit close for now, plus bottomed out the metal skid plate a few times already!
Few shots up in Portrush for a day trip:

Oh yeah, rock 'n roll  :D
-
So another largish update!
5 stud conversion!
PLUS SSR Type C forged rims 16x7" 30offset and nice and light :D I love them! 12.5lbs / 5.67kgHopefully gain some traction with fatter sidewalls.
Now running the 323f BA v6 slightly larger rotors and the larger pot calipers to matchStill need to:
-get tyres, hope they fit the arches with the little bit extra offset
-replace CV boot demolished
-bolt up the rest of the 5 stud gear on both sides
-
Very good !
How's items change for put hub with 5 stud ? I want to do that since a long time.
-
very very nice
-
wow ! thats a light rim.

@9bb44d3eec=youdirtyfox:
wow ! thats a light rim.
No lighter than my old Lorbers ;)
-
Looking good :D :D
-
looking good marco!, there are some very sexy rotas i like but only available in 5 stud!!. What are you doing with old wheels?
The rear brakes look larger ? or is it just the pic?.
Think you should change your username to the mad scientist !. :D
-
Old wheels are on ebay now Garfy. Just the pic unfortunately! Mx3 calipers in the same position.
lol at the username idea…
So this project lives on for now. I had started transferring things out of this car - carpc, coilovers, 5stud, sub, sub wiring etc etc so had to put it all back in after finding out my new purchase was scrap.
Finally the SSR Type Cs are fitted. I need to roll my arches a little, I had to camber out the rear to tuck the tyres under as it is. Some pics from Japfest:
