You're right. no-ones gonna nick it ina hurry that's for sure.
did someone really try stealing it at some point or was that you messing about with the lock?
-
just went searching for the harlquin log book notes, apparently it goes on the base colour, as in, the colour of the non removable panels, such as roof, rear quarter and sills. Though I expect yo could just go on what colour you engine bay is painted for a simpler answer
-
Surely that answers rusty question in that case, just leave it as silver and that's its base colour.

**His engine bay is silvery-white (oddly…) but his roof and unibody panels are black...
Incidentally, my brother's Ariel Atom is white on the V5C. But Atoms' colours are based on the bonnet cover and the intake cover, which are interchangeable plastic panels. He has orange, yellow and red panels in his garage, so he can go out in any one of - or any combination of - four colours and still be white.
His previous Atom was yellow. In court (no comment!) the policeman gave evidence of the "black Ariel". The magistrate asked if the aerial was attached to the car... After a few clarifying points, my brother showed a picture of the Atom to the magistrate who remarked "But that's yellow?"...**

Oh dear, did that really happen! Well funny!
-
Yep. The magistrates were more interested in the car than the offence. The fact the copper's testimony was a bit broken from the start (including a visual estimate of the speed, because the radar couldn't get a reading off the front of an Atom) didn't help the prosecution case one bit…

My friend at work has a 1.6 323 in the same noble green as mine and he keeps being pulled over as its stated as green on the V5 yet it looks blue in the sun, funny too he is the only one to be pulled because of the colour
