I must admit, yes it is, but the weight of the MX3 bonnet compared to that of, say, a Civic is a lot less, I was very surprised when I changed my bonnets over, so weight saving is not really that much of an issue at the front end of the MX3 (in fact, with it being Front driven, I'd say, the more weight over them driving wheels the better). The price comparison of a Carbon bonnet to that of a sheet of vinyl will be very noticeable, yet if a good job is done. wouldn't.
I'm all for it :D
