Hid kit
-
does the lamp move backwards and forwards in its holder?
-
thats the thing it works perfactly if you put the standerd bulb back in the drivers side loom the hid kit is on the passenger side loom
-
so do the lamps move freely?
take them out of the holders and see for sure
-
yeh they click back and forth fast as when there on
-
check the voltage next. big cables should be around 23000v and the small ones a lot less
big ones ignite small ones move the lamp
-
dont think ive got anything capale of mesureing such a high voltage
but the thing is they work fine if you put a standerd bulb on the drivers side look of the car
but with the standerd bulb off the loom the hids come on soon as you turn ignicion on
-
it sounds like one of the balasts is fooked.
ive got a small problem with mine and thats that it goes out on main beam and it doesn't move. as you know both actions aren't as connected as we think.
the lamp doesn't change but moves back to let out more light.
it moves because an electro magnet is turned on and pulls the lamp.

Where did you guys run the cables? I have run mine under the air intake, but it is above the radiator, I have been told it should stay away from heat sources…. Also, how did you modify the housing cover to allow the wires from the HID kit out of the headlight housing?
Sorry to hijack the thread...

Id drill the rear cover and put a rubber gromet in then run the wire through the gromet keeping your seal…
As for the wires best not to keep them next to a heat source if you can, or if not try and use some kind of protection to cover them..
