A bit worrying!

Ok…M25 this morning, total loss of power while doing about 70...put my foot down and nothing!...pulled onto hs and it was revving up ok but as soon as I tried to pull off it was doing it again....finally started going ok but 2 mins later and I'm on the hs again, this time it totally cut out and was a bit of a bitch to get started again....did eventually and I got back ok but it's worrying me....what the hell is that about?...anyone have any ideas??, cheers.

To me it sounds like what happened when my distributor was dying. Particularly the starting again bit.
