i have now read tommy d s engine swap guide, apart from the fact i have to change my loom from a 1994 1.5 j spec to 1.8 or 2.5?
is everything else on that guide the same

i dont know much about these swaps, so you should check out mx3.com and also try to find one on cardomain.

you'll have to fabricate your engine mounts if you have a 1.5, best place to start is with a 1.8

i shoul be ok as im getting the whole shell to so should be able to bolt the engine mounts on to my chassis or are the positions different

are the mouting places for the engine mounts the same through out the range of mx 3 s

I would assume the v6 and i4 had different mounting points, have you had a look on mx-3.com, thinks theres a write up on there.

jon I saw your post on the other mx-3 forums and now it makes sense… I believe you should be able to swap over all the mounts from the other shell into yours...
although I know very little about the 1.5....
