Sam's Proper MX-3 - LT Turbo project *Parting out*
-
Cheers dude!
This is it now after the front dropped a little more.
-
Don't mean to sound rude, back still looks a bit high to me, is that as low as it can go? just asking because when I fitted mine I had a problem with the rear springs rubbing the inside of the tyre, so I had to buy some shorter springs for the back to get it lower
-
How rude :P
rears not installed yet Gulfy
You got me worried now !

You got me worried now !they look mint mate, hope rears go ok
-
Sorry not meaning to worry you, just thought the back was high and you answered me by saying they are not yet fitted, I'm sure they will be fine
mines this low
-
Nice! you running any - camber up front?
-
Yeah think they are about halfway from the middle towards the inside, if that makes sense!
-
Yep, mine are still on the setting they came with (bang in the middle)
Front aligment is doing its own negative camber at the mo
-
Managed to get the rear coilovers installed this afternoon in about 3 hours.
There is probably about another 40mm of adjustment lower on the rear
if I wanted too go even lower, think Im happy with were it is sat at the mo!
Off to pro-tyres tommorow for a four wheel laser aligment session :)
-
Noice :D
-
cant wait to drive it now, been two weeks and i've been missing it..
-
I expect you will notice a huge difference with it now, just need to see it going around the track at japfest next year. :D
-
Id better get turboing then :)
Just had the tracking done, so gave it a proper drive afterwards!
I have to say im seriously impressed with the ride quality of these
coilovers, on the softest setting they are no more harsh or bouncy
than my lowering springs! but still feels very tight :DI think Ive lowered by -80mm and it just managed to get
up on there ramps, he did mention it did scrape on the towing bracket slightly on the way down though. All in all very happy indeed as I was worried seeing as this is my daily
driver, didnt want it to be too harsh, wich it isnt ! reminds me a little
of riding on Koni yellow shocks and springs 8)Big thumbs up for the XYZ's
-
next mod will be 12 x 6 front number plate offset to the side with a bracket, and maybe a proper ricer addition of this:
-
got the new plate on there tonight with a bracket of the towing hook.
-
-
Now you need to fill up the old number plate holes to make the bumper all nice and flush, its it shame about that stretch of water separating us, as i know a good sprayer
-
Ooh yes, going to get another red standard bumper and do all the prep/fill work that needs doing indoors (in the warm)
also be alot easier to do this http://www.uk-mx3.com//forum/viewtopic.php?t=3481 while the bumpers off!Did you just flat yours down after removing those metal lugs,
was thinking about hole sawing them out?
-
you could cut them out and fit a pipe around to connect to an induction kit
-
I had thought about spinning up some alu ducts for the fog light
apertures, but they are a really weird shape!
