What power?

so my 0 to 60 time will be about 7ish maybe a bit quicker? do you think the 1.8 manifold and throttle body will reduce the power much?

Probably quite a bit if you have the K8 inlet you are probably using K8 injectors so thats gonna be an issue. Also the inlet is noticeably smaller than the DE.
Help it breath get a DE inlet… :D

malania inlet all the way nothing to move then as it fits nicly

Coupled with the KLDE it is a rocket! I'd say 0-60 just under 6 seconds, maybe less, comparing it to the j spec MX6 doing it in 6.2 which is heavier and has the taller gears.
I'm not convinced by this to be honest mate. j-spec 6 is a fraction under 200bhp. Whereas the standard KL-DE is 167. Considering you're using k8 injectors & im I would expect you to be about on par with the uk spec 6.
Sorry if I have disappointed you!

Fairnuff, your opinion, im not disappointed. The MX3 is lighter , 1171 kg versus 1289kg and shorter ratios but even if not under six then it's still pretty quick. The KLDE with addition of an extra 35 horses and losing 120kgs adds up to a pretty quick car, certainly low 6's, maybe better. As I said previously the standard MX3 0-60 is more like 8 secs. This is bourne out by celica club members who have taken them on. Celica GT has 0-60 of 7.9 secs. One member has a brother with a MX3 and says it keeps up with his no problem.
With j spec 200bhp on tap it would surely be under six seconds. Anyone got these mods and done times?

im just going from the mx-3.com forums but 156 apparently is the top speed of the mx6 transmission but to be fair this is hitting the rev limiter but 150 should be no problem for a klze with the mx6 transmission but if u think this is incorrect u can always search the mx-3.com forums and ask ppl there thats wot i do when im unsure about stuff anyway. i have about 5-10 usa mx-3 klze owners i talk to on msn for information and advice and since the us has bin doing the swap long b4 ppl in the uk even knew about it i tend to value there opinion just as much if not more than advice giving to me from the uk forums.
though i think its good to get as much information as possible and make up your own mind after all its your engine/car and no one elses.

Sounds about right my K8 was bout 8, now with KLZE under 6.. Goes ok, not far of my scooby when that was standard.
As for top only had 140, had more to go but ran out of track..

iam using the 2.5 injectors off the kl engine.
-
want to find out its true power? get it on a rolling road, see if there is a motor mechanics college near you they should have one and will do it for free
-
ahh 0 - 60 around 3.5 seconds
7psi though,
