Mooneggs International Projects 3/20 Updates
-
Superb condition by the looks of them. Gotta agree with Youdirtyfox that I am not overly keen on the huge lettering though. Leathers ftw ;)
-
I've never been a huge fan of massive branding (more about subtle badges etc) but from the first day I saw these seats I knew they were the ones for my project!
They really are mint and so comfortable and supportive! I think I got a pretty good deal on them and was able to get them within my budget by shipping by boat vs. air.
-
Rear wraparound mudguards acquired!
-
I've been tempted to pick these up when I came across the on AstinaGT but didn't have the balls to give them a go. Very interested to see how they turn out! Fair play!
-
Yeah I think everyone is wondering that same thing. As far as I know I'll be the first to install them… I've never seen another mx-3 in real life have them installed! It's definately an expensive experiment... I think I will like them though so that's why I went for them! 8)
-
Mooneggs, I am the happy owner of a MR2… but every fracking time I see your cars I want to sell it and get another MX3.
I hate you.. but I love you
-
That's what happens when you see someone who is utterly commited and passionate about what they love to do… infectious and makes you want to join back in on the fun :D
I have more projects in flight... this legend isn't finished yet... 8)
-
:@ I know… it's so tempting since I've just been informed that it's going to be around 2k for the MR2 to be put back on the road, I could pick up yet another MX3 for £500 and get the KLZE dropped in for 1/2 of that.

I've been to a couple of racing events recently: http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=603194#p603194
also done a bit of maintenance, got some CF Helmets and acquired a few more rare Autozam parts: http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=602940#p602940
-
Finally got my MS-01R fitted with some decent tires. :D
I know you see them quite often over there but in the US, these rims are very difficult to come by…

Didn't know that one had Cruise Control Mooneggs, but them rims look very nice :)
What colour is your car as well bud ?
-
nice meat stance shame you are not tucking it .
-
Thats one nice Mazzie. :respect:
-
Yeah Lori both my MX have cruise control… seems like one of the few options the rest of the world didn't get 8) color is flat black primer (aka Moonwax® )
lol @ fox, I actually race my car and I need it functional. If I didn't race and I was going to shows all the time I suppose i would have a stance such as yours though
-
lol I just love tuckin meat that's all. Im only jel cause you actually race
-
Back to back updates… That's what happens when Mooneggs takes a 4 day weekend
So today I installed a new muffler and wraparound rear mudguards.
All pics here: http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3//viewtopic.php?p=604958#p604958
Teaser
-
Oh wow, those mudguards work MUCH better than I would have thought! I think the Moonwax helps with it (think it'd look a bit silly with my colour scheme). Looks awesome man, fair play for taking the risk! Paid off!
-
Amen, I do love em, how much were they?
Also, Moon.. I know i know. your package was posted today :(
-
Yes it definately was an incredibly expensive risk… let's just say these were one of the most expensive parts I've acquired in the international project... :x When I compare the price to other things I've bought well, whatever, what's done is done... With them being fiberglass they are also the most fragile :( No wonder I've never seen them on another mx-3 in real life!
Anyways I definately think they are a nice add, even with the space in the middle... 8)

wow. never seen a set of those before. but i do love the look of them on the car. but that gap in the back id have to do something about. it looks like a piece is missing.
