Cool, they are out of stock until the 24th of this month :( so will have to wait a while….....
-
Been tidying up the doors today, the black sikaflex that holds the waterproofing on is a biatch to get off…..took 2 hrs and whilst i was at it i took the wires behind the panels in the door and neatly cabletied it all up....
From this.........
To this….....
Also here are the seats im after, just sorting out prices etc this week…They are 4kg each 8)
Here is the Strut bar (front) of the Set im buying….....
-
All lookin great as ever mate, Just thinking that those seats look really painful if that's how they'll be going into your car or is the aim to cover them?
-
they carbon seats. if so going to be a different sort of pain other than comfort if they break. no crack just shatter. ouch
-
surely if you have a knock wothy of breaking carbon seats, that last thing you'd be worried about is comfort??
-
I only ever do 20min trips so its no big problem. Ill get padding made if i need it and i will put them on polyflex seat bushes to allow a bit of movement, im not sure how it will feel but i like the look and weight of them so it must be done!!!!!
I also have some other pics to post up…..So many people on here buy the ebay rear lights but i have never understood why they dont rewire the Rear lights in paralell...I did it as soon as i got them 2yr ago!
Ring up a Mazda spare company and buy two extra Rear/Brake bulb holders with a good few inches of wire and wire them up in paralell.......Slot the new twin pair in where the Fog light spaces are and bingo! Just swap the fog back in for MOT 8)
Also you can all see my HID kit in the pics below, it is the way forward  you can see for miles, except when there is 10tonnes of Sand in front, lol
-
what the HD kit set you back. with the lights i was lucky as got the car for 900 last year. it came with the air filter supposed to be 70 quid the rear light mod and full sound system tweakers dvd screens and player oo and infin bass like. so the ice was more than car.

@b0056764d1=Bellers:

True, they are Kevlar so wont shatter, the resin would simply crack around the fibres also if carbon as i would only buy Twill Weave 8) Kevlar is like Fibreglass but more flexible and shatter resistant…
-
learn new things every day
-
thought you would have gone for a carbon strut brace, for the wieght. Or are they not as strong as the alloy ones??
-
I want strength and The Corksport ones look good enough to sacrifce some weight. They are just bars so wont be too heavy…..Carbon ones would be expensive and for the same money you can send the extra on other bits 8)
I will post some pics up soon, lots is hapening to the car at the mo 8)
-
Looking good Tom,
Thinking about getting the corksport strut brace set myself :D

Well, its been a while since an update, the car is now stripped and the new lightweight seats are in and they are so comfortable over what i expected. I also modified my front bumper and had the wheels sprayed black and the car looks evil now. Pics coming soon…....
As for the future, i have lots if ideas...Im having the back spaceframed over the winter and having a second rebuilt (forged internals|)KLZE put in there linked up and a bulkhead behind the drivers seat welded in. Its an expensive job but i think it will be worth it. This with LSD's on both boxes will give me 4x4 and with both engines boosted should make some crazy +800bhp power.
I have no idea how long the car will be off road, im getting a second set of front hubs and getting the front brakes on the rear and the 8 pot K-Sport kit up the front. The rear window will be made in perspex to match the side windows and side scoops will be put in. Not decided on 1 or 2 Rads yet, i have lots of research to do yet but it will all be worth it. She is coming off the road soon and then the fun will begin :)
-
woooah…. did I just read that correctly... your gona have dual Boosted ZE's in there??
Jono
-
Id like to see one of these Klze engine in a mx3, see how the perform.
-
When I read this I get images of some insane Baron Frankenstein type laughing over an MX-3 going " IT'S ALIVE! BWAHAHAH, IT'S ALIVE" Go for it mate and I really hope you pull it off. The only other car I've ever seen that did this was a Peugeot 106 with one up front and one in the boot plus a 100 shot of nitrous.
I'm sitting back with a bag of M&M's and a beer looking forward to the end results :D
 ("Igor, pull the switches!")
-
ive seen a twin engined golf and a nova too! a mate had a golf and put the engine in the boot for a rwd car. insane amount of work! amazing results
-
Well, i have been researching big style with the MX3 in the ast 2 months
I have scraped my original idea of boosting two KLZE's as the engines can take big power but the gearboxes cant and to get a custom job one will just be ridiculous and with y driving expensive to fix.
Im now going to sell my ZE swap, ie Engine, Manifolds, ECU, etc and start with a rolling chassis.
It looks like two Hayabusa Turbo engines in the back running transverse is the only way. I have also explored the short block V8 with Audi Gearbox in the back. Whatever happes it needs to be rear engine rwd, as im an acceleration addict. I may end up with an RB26 in the front and R32 GTS rear diff, it just depends on how much power can be put down with no weight over the rear axle as the car was designed as Front WD.
If anyone wants a complete ZE swap package let me know…...the engine has done 42-44k miles and serviced regularly. I also have a modified sump for a Turbo Oil return and a Milennia Inlet Manifold with KL68 TB
-
price for it all mate???
-
I ll take it just let me know a price, have you got your turbo kit sorted if you dont mind me asking.
