K8 swap to kfde???

i'm thinking to swap k8 to kfde 2.0 v6.have anybody ever did that or heared about?is it straight forward?tnx :?:

As long as your mx has three plugs on its current ecu and also the new ecu.
You need to change over vaf sensor also. K8 gearbox will easily take extra bhp but clutch will need upgrading.
In honestly the 2.0 has such a small improvement over the 1.8 what are your reasons for not going the 2.5 route ?

sorry,but i just got mixed up.the kfde is 140bhp but kfze-160.so kfze is what i want to put in.reason-i can probably get engine cheap.

I was looking at going down this route once because KFZE mx6's seem to show up more frequently than KLZE mx6's in Ireland. If you can get a complete car, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't go well.

i cant't get complete car,because i'm looking in european website for engine.to get car here from latvia would cost probably more than buy klze in uk and put turbo on.

If you fancy going down the 2.5 route, theres a KLDE mx6 for sale in Wicklow/Wexford. I rang your man about it a week or so ago and he was lookinf for around 650, think he's desperate to get rid of it now so you might pick up a bargain for yourself. I'd go for it myself but I'm holding out for a ZE.

have you tried mazdabits in newtownards Edy? Would have thought they'd have a KLDE. Jayom, they've had xedos 9s about, ask if they've a ZE.

Never heard of them Marco, I'll give them a ring tomorrow if I can find there number. Was onto IVI and they said they have one and they'll keep it for me til the end of the month - just hope that when I get there it is a ZE and not a DE. 600euro with a 3 month warranty, 900 more if I want them to fit it so think I'll be fitting it myself :P

tnx for info,boys.i wil try them tomorrow. :D i spoted an mx6 in traynors,but don't know-how to find out,what engine is in :oops: .is it kf or kl.only thing i know is that it's v6.

i have 2 mx3.green one is1.6 uk model(Marco seen it) and i bought a black k8 couple of days ago.man in motorfactors said,that black one is imported but only difference between them is black one got leather steeringwheel an gearknob.
