Need to check when I get home but on the Rx there is a sticker inside the driver door which should tell you.
Can get it from the chassis number too. Quick call to mazda with this should get you the answer.
Hi guys it's good to know that the forum is to be kept going and revamped at some point
I guess mx3 owners are getting rarer and rarer ,and by the date of some of the posts there's not been a lot of input recently
Might I suggest that the forum be made much more simpler to use ,and maybe reduced in size ,I personally find using my tablet that I struggle to read or follow the site
I own several motorcycles and go on other forums which I find much more user friendly
I own a bike of which there are only 8 left in the uk ,but the forum is very friendly and active
I am a relitivly new Mx3 owner ,but I have owned one previously, and have found some useful
advice here but there is little response to some of my enquiries
May be the forth coming article on MX3's will generate more interest, in what is a very under ated future classic
Regards

Hello, I would suggest going to get some from a scrapyard to see if it cures the problem, if it does not then you haven't spent a load of money, if it does then you can get the new ones.
Same when i had mine locking was intermitant then packed up
Mk2.5 mx5 exterior handles fit so i guess have same/similar lock/microswitches behind them
Oh and if u fit the mx5 handles u can get them to light up when u unlock the car like the green light for the ignition, works well with central locking but check handles come with the wires as not all have it.
With the age though id check over the door wiring loom first as the can get flooded out from jetwashing and rinsing the car, i quit washing mine then i bought new doors which had universal remote central locking fitted and all was solved and cheaper do all onto a remote then buy any mazda door lock part
