@f89a7a677d=robx1r:
now i had problems buying stuff before it wouldnt take the credit card???? is a visa
Should be no issues with payment if the card is valid. You can pay in several ways anyhow.
I dunno, mine is the same as you describe with the Mazda badge on the left. My other MX-3 was on the right. I think this is the way they are supposed to be, just when my current one went in for a respray they put them back on the wrong way round. I've also seen a few others with the Mazda badge on the right.
Also the ABS badge seems to appear in a different place on every car, if at all!
thanks matey.. i was thinking about drilling and bolting, but having read the posts on there i don't think i will.. be best to do the job proper me thinks anyway rather then drive all that way i called the AA and they are sending "a very nice man" to sort the problem to at least get her back home then i can have a good butchers at it .once again cheers :D
@142685aa5f=steve//:
ha ha yeah i do.. anyway think im sorted now the piston was going in no problem but the carrierd were not so not enough gap to slot in the new pads ..a bit of patience ,lubricant and a large rubber hammer seems to have sorted the mystery thanks guys :o
Yea the carriers are a PITA on most cars. Over the years they corrode and get filled up with brake dust. Worst case is the pads stick in there and constantly rub on the disc, as what was happening to you.
The best way to solve the problem is to clean up the area the pad contacts with the carrier. I normally use and angle grinder, 5 mins work. A metal file or rough bit of sand paper will do the job though.
Should solve your problem and stop it happening again for a few years.
More than likely ignition related as Mikey says.
Could be the dizzy breaking down or perished HT leads.
If it feels like its only firing on 5 out of 6 cylinders i'd go for the leads 1st as they start to breakdown after 60,000 miles.
Does it make a difference if its hot/cold etc? Wet weather also has an effect if the leads are stuffed.
Windy
yeah if anyone interested its in metro salvage at bolton good runner and stuff but chassis gone mate i think they said there was another in there too maybe handy for any local members
Hi,
Unfortunately I had a big accident rallying, rolled it 4 times at 50 mph!!
So i've been out of it for a while with a bad head injury hence no new members.
I am now looking for someone to help run the website, see this post:
