lol 900cc would require some serious boost!
Garfy I was fine with standard on the less than 5 psi boost I was running. Had fuel pressure at about 45psi and don't think I was ever near excessive duty cycle or going static.

KLZE is non-interference. You have to be VERY unlucky to mash the valves into the piston, eg belt snaps violently at 7500rpm. My heads were skimmed quite alot and still non-interference. I have a cam snap in half, zero valve damage.
It is? :o I was lied too! I was always told it was interference because of the higher compression :o
Well now I am tempted to look for an obd1 mx3 with a mashed engine haha
Just so you know it does state in MOT regs that any car registered after april 1994 MUST be fitted with a cat.
I did the homework on mine when I decatted recently and my dad asked his MOT guy and he agreed
Is there anywhere I would benefit most from connecting the grounding kit to? Due to christmas delays the kit didnt turn up for a month so the seller sent me another, after christmas the both turned up within a week of each other, so Ive got another I can wire in to any areas Ive missed, theres a connector tab on the front right of the gearbox, just below where the air filter is, suspect that is for an earth, but theres no cable attached to it, plonk one on?
If they made the barrels and breaches bigger and more reinforced, then it wouldnt be a problem, and then imagine the anarchy you could have lobbing solid slugs out of battery guns. While it is far from the point, explosives and blowing stuff up is far more interesting than octane anyway, its been asked a million and one times on the internet already, and the answer remains the same. Application. :)
Who wants to talk about rail guns?! :P
I once drove home with a bottle of water in the car to keep refilling.. Waterpump was leaking too. Got the distri and pump replaced and never had any problems with it afterwards.
thanks a lot for good answers :)
yes i use ecu and kl 02 vaf on the car. and i still use the k8 inlet manifold. since the other from kl-de was a bit fucked up.
so i've already got new one and its on way shipping to me this week :) so might be good to fix the orginal inlet manifold to this kl-de motor.
I'll send an email to your friend and hear what he says and what i should use. thanks a lot :)
Isn't there a solenoid that cuts and regulates fuel on start up / turn off. I'm sure it's missing from mine when I did ze swap. mx6 owner asked me if mine took a while to start as it's missing but it's fine really.
Cambelt and waterpump both at the same time definately, if you can get to southampton its £140 plus parts if not then you are looking at about £400 at least so do shop around
kind of, remember it is a oil breather pipe..first off give it all a good clean especially with something rubber friendly as you dont want to damage the pipe, reassemble and then check after a couple of days to comfirm level of oil.. it may only be a very small amount but built up over time looking more than it is tbh..

Just bought this one, and I'll see hows that going :) But thanks a lot for helps :)
Yeah the diagnostic box is the one the adapter plugs into, but they arent cheap for a decent one.
I was thinking about getting one myself but I keep having to throw money at my car so I can't afford it yet :(
As a mechanic my opinion is of course NEVER use engine flush.
Especially in older cars as you get a build up of crap (particulary in the bottom end bearings) metal fillings, small bits of crap etc that have built up over the years and are now actually acting as part of the bearing. Engine flush can clean out this all important crap and royally stuff up an engine.
Sometimes I have used whynns tappet cleaner (NOT THE LIQUID VERSION IN THE BOTTLE ITS TOO HARSH) use the oil version that comes in the can type thing with the ring pull. But only when I had bought a new car and could tell it was clogged and the oil had gone thick.
But usually when I get a new car I just empty, then run some cheap oil, then empty again and put in decent oil.
After that regular servicing with good quality oil is all you need.
It might.. VRIS timing points may be different. Inlet sizes on the heads might be different. I know its not something thats regularly been done. I now some on mx-3.com that have a curveneck ze intake on a k8, but no proven improvements..
