i imported an arch kit from america i think it was origionally intended for an eclipse or the like. However, the bodyshop want an absolute fortune to blend them in > and the cost v end result = just not worth it. You could buy a much newer better car for how much the project was going to cost me.
when i sent my car to the bodyshop i had roughly already spent the same amount on an m reg car as what my mates were spending on new / nearly new sports hatches 200 bhp + standard.
however the arches were damaged anyway when the thieving little pikies nicked loads of stuff from the bodyshop.
lambo, to get my kit inported to the UK from Canada, through customs and including the kit itself cost me just shy of a grand…
Only thing with that is people are often put off with the risk... but luckily it payed off for me as it was the first drift kit in the uk!
Not sure about prices from the EU, but i know you dont have to pay to get it through customs...
I think its more my bad technique than the grade I used. Was a 400 I think but have managed to get those scratches out now and then I used wire wool. Trouble is there are still lots of really deep pits in the metal So I wanted to start coarse. I think mine is an especially bad example of a rocker cover. I spent half hour today but that was mostly going over the bit I done already. I got one of those brass wire brushes today for my cordless drill. Works great on the sides but any large flat bit leaves score marks like you wouldn't believe.
Im gonna try wet and dry next starting at 400 and working up to a 2400 mirror shine.
Think about the weight reduction when its done.!
All your hard work has payed of it looks really dam good. I wish i had the time to acheive that level of bling under my bonnet.
It looks ultra fresh +++
