The only sujestion i can think of would be to create a small funnel/well at the base of the aerial with some bluetak and fill it with oil or penetration fluid then leave it overnight.<br />
then with a piece of fine sandpaper, sand the rest of the aerial that is showing so that it is smooth.<br />
You may need to gently twist the aerial back and forth.<br />
Failing that you may need to remove the mount and adapt it for a bee sting aerial.<br />

I had the same problem and got round it by replacing the aerial with one from a Mazda Pickup, a bit of fettling was required but it works fine!!:<br />
